Nothing will ever beat that one episode with the puppy in Elfen lied. You know what I'm talking about. The puppy.....why!? I don't think I was ever deeply disturbed then at that moment.

With all the dismemberments and beheadings you weren't disturbed until a puppy was killed?! Lol!

lol I know! Everything I was able to dismiss. Disgusting sometimes I know but I just desensitize myself to it. Then the puppy episode comes around and BAM! I couldn't take it anymore! Of course I did finish the show by this point.

I think it was the noise the puppy was making that made it so disturbing. A girl screaming in pain is one thing....a puppy? oh hell no.

You do raze a good point tho. When that puppy was killed i was upset but once those kids got completely splattered i felt nothing.

Mirai Nikki and Another are my favorite. If manga counts then also Deadman Wonderland. The anime of it wasnt as great as the manga.

They left out a few things, they only show Ganta from his coward days and the manga is allowed to show more.

But on top of all things, they stopped the anime before things got good. They dont even show the true antagonist as the bad guy.

I kinda figured this would be part of it, but there's a possibility it might get a second series and such issues would be addressed in that.

Sounds like i should check out the manga none-the-less.

I highly doubt a second season from the things i've read.

And yeah you should definitely read the manga. The author returned from pregnancy and just started drawing the final arc.

I've fallen over and produced more gore than HOTD! No offence but that animes more about the fanservice than it is the gore.
