After finishing Steins Gate which was awesome I had to watch something to completely take my mind off it. The obvious answer was a couple episodes of Lucky Star Shocked . Yeah that's been an on\off sort of deal for me for a while. So now that my brain cells have been purged of Steins Gate, I think I will watch either Monster or something funny. Hmm. Serious or funny? Think I'm leaning funny.

Ah someone who actually recognizes my avatar. Good taste sir! I have high hopes for monster and I am very patient, however I wonder if I should tackle the best of my list so soon...

I've seen a lot of anime but recently have hit a wall in finding a good dubbed one. Right now I'm semi-watching Bodacious Space Pirates but it feels a little too shallow. And preferably nothing with extreme ecchiness like Cat Planet Cuties Shocked

Dood. CPC doesn't have extreme ecchiness. I've seen WAAAYY more ecchiness in other anime such as KissxSis (Sub only) but if your wanting a good dub then there's
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Durarara!!
and more. I could recommend you more but you gotta specify what your looking for?

I guess it is hard for me to specify. I like anime that has a Fruits Basket/ Clannad look. Slice of life, magic, fantasy, school, supernatural, and generally light atmosphere.

(I meant no nudity or extreme ecchiness.)

First a recorrection that I must make for soemthing I said a few posts back. Cat Planet Cuties is not a must watch but it's still pretty good. Sadly it just lost the momentum it had with the first 3-5 eps.

Ok well Jay when you consider that even Card Captors has nudity in it (btw that's a kids show) and when you consider that almost all anime has nudity in it then your really limiting yourself there. I know this for a fact. As for extreme ecchiness, ok well that's easy enough to avoid so long as ecchiness is allowed. Either way there's not much I can recommend but I'll try. (Not sure about a FB & Clannad look though)

Try
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Case Closed (Btw the dub only has 120 or so eps but the Sub has nearly 700 and is still on going and there's at east 15 movies)
I would not recommend this to anyone but hey I'm low on options but try Lucky Star if you need soemthing to watch. I have but that anime on hold and I've only seen the 1st ep.
You can also try Figure 17. Its got 13 eps but each ep is 45 mins. Its not the best but is still good and the ending is touching.

How about Baka and Test? That falls under all categories pretty nicely.

I've just recently finished Baka and Test.

Case Closed is sooo long I'm not even going to try at this time Smile

I haven't watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica though

And I know that most anime has some form of nudity but I would like to to watch ones that contain a general lack of "detail". Buttocks and nipple-less breasts are okay as long as they aren't excessive.

The FB/Clannad look is mainly large eyes to the rest of the face.

How about Dream Eater Merry, then? Or Lucky Star if you just want School, Slice of Life, and Comedy (that eye size thing actually limited my suggestions more than I thought).

Try Strawberry Marshmallow. It's slice of life and really funny.

You know, if I didn't like you, I'd suggest Kodacha. How about Ghost Hunt?

I've already seen Kodocha (at least the dub) 2-3 times and Ghost Hunt once.

Strawberry Marshmallow doesn't feel like the right one to watch.

Well, I'm running out of anime that meets your criteria. How about DN Angel?

seen it. Feel free to broaden the criteria except for the "extreme echiness, etc" It can really be anything genre-wise

Well, I'll still try and find a better match (I'm just running low on good ideas). How about Tsukihime or Fate/Stay Night?

Seen Fate/Stay Night

I think I started Tsukihime but stopped after the first episode. (I'll look back into it)

Not really sure what to watch next. Just finished Blue Exorcist and SAO.

Looking for a mature anime with sci-fi aspects, action, romance, mystery, basically everything except for slice of life (as that completely goes against the whole sci-fi thing)

here is my MAL so you don't make me recommendations I've seen. I haven't added any dropped anime to my MAL, and there are a lot missing that I watched in the past and don't really remember the story of. I'll let you know if you recommend me one of those.

Considering Mirai Nikki or Steins;Gate next.

Either of those are a good idea. I would also have to recommend Higurashi and Umineko (you seem like the type to enjoy Umineko more).

I do enjoy a good romantic sub-plot though, and unfortunately a lot of the super murder mystery type anime lack that aspect.

Oh yes, pretty heavy as the series goes on. One of those situational love sparks and not-so-secret crushes (it's too bad the anime ends before too much can happen).
